Follow these easy steps to help get yourself and others ready for Election Day!
1. Invite some friends. Whether you meet in person, via Zoom, or over the phone, there is strength in numbers! Feel free to use our invitation templates.
2. Get ready. Review the host instructions, then decide which materials you'd like to use — slideshow, games, worksheets, etc. You can modify the slideshow to include what you want to cover. If your event is virtual, share the collaborative spreadsheet. Print the Voter Notes worksheet for in-person guests. Remind guests to have a printed or digital copy of their sample ballot to work from.
If you wish, assign guests to research different candidates and topics on the ballot and be ready to share what they've learned.
3. Party! Share some refreshments or whip up one of our MWEG-approved mocktails. Work through the races and issues on your ballot together, and have some fun while you do it. We've included lots of ideas and options to make your event fun and interactive.
4. Spread the word. Document and share all the fun you’re having to encourage others to do the same — try #voterprep and tag @mormonweg when you post on social media, or share on MWEG Central.
